In collaboration with Siemens, Jord delivered a 220 ton per day sulphate treatment system for an Angolan offshore production platform. Modules included a deaerator, a coarse auto-backwash filter module, cartridge filter module, a dual media filer modules, multiple nano-filtration modules and a filter cleaning system. The produced water was used for downhole reinjection to boost well pressure for enhanced oil recovery.
Monel and incolloy were materials of construction used for this coarse seawater filtration module Jord supplied for an offshore gas platform service. Filtration were via multiple wedgewire candles, rotated to allow periodic backwashing whilst the unit remained in service. Organic growth was controlled via a chemical shock dosing system.
Jord works with technology partners from the FEED stage to optimise Sulphate Reduction Plant process design and module layout, to suit the specific demands of each project. A well designed layout in a number of instances has saved up to 20% of the total weight of the system.
