Jord’s offshore experience ranges from complete topsides, to modular delivery of process systems to supply of individual capital equipment. Our core expertise from the 1970’s was air coolers and gas separation. Over the decades, this has evolved to gas and condensate treatment, gas compression and water treatment.
Jord designed, manufactured and delivered 2,000 tons of topside modules in 2015 for a Gas Compression Jack Up Rig bound for the Mexican gulf. At the heart of the platform were five x 13MW gas turbine driven compressor trains, compressing 250 MMSCFD of sour gas from 4 to 85 bar(g). In addition to the gas compressor balance of plant, Jord’s scope included gas metering, condensate export and fuel gas treatment modules, plus a flare system.
Delivery was completed ex works within 11 months of award, with zero lost time injuries over 350,000 manhours.
Jord’s scope for the above project also included 650 ton pipe bridge module that connects the Jack Up rig with the existing production platform. The 100m bridge section was supported by a mid section tripod that used suction bucket foundations to secure to the 43m seabed depth. The pipe bridge was fully assembled and shipped in one module from the shipyard. It was designed to allow relocation and reuse upon depletion of the first oil field.
