The Jord Environment Trust (“JET”) was established in 2007 with a charter to donate funds to international causes that help foster a biologically diverse and sustainable planet.

Jord contributes a percentage of group profit each year to the JET Fund. The fund is managed on a voluntary basis by Jord staff. The brief is to grow the fund’s capital over time, and to periodically distribute income generated from this capital to environmentally related causes that fall within set guidelines.

An environmental trust is somewhat apropos, since “jord” means “earth” in Scandinavian languages. “Jord“ is also a Goddess in Norse mythology; the mother of Thor and the personification of the Earth.

Jord cares about the health of our planet, and as a technology driven company, we actively pursue new technology that can help clean up our environment. We are delighted to have this opportunity to return a percentage of our annual profits to causes that compliment
this belief.
