Jord is a privately-owned, international company that is fast approaching five decades of steady, organic growth, serving our customers with innovation, value and reliability.
Jord designs, manufactures, commissions and services process plant for a range of industries that expect innovation, value and reliability as they transition to digital and sustainable.
Jord provides the services that customers need before, during and after investment to ensure their process plant provides the value and reliability they expect.
Jord has been designing and manufacturing custom built air-cooled heat exchanger and condenser systems since our first unit – a butane overhead condenser (J344) – was delivered to the Shell Clyde refinery in Sydney in 1977. Since then, many thousands of air cooling systems have been delivered across 7 continents and well over 100 countries.

This first unit, commissioned in 1977, was still in service when the refinery closed its doors some 30 years later. Its longevity bears testament to the robust nature of our designs.
Jord dry cooling expertise spans air cooled heat exchangers (air coolers) for process cooling and condensing and vacuum steam (ACC) condensing for steam turbine driven power and process applications. These cover the full spectrum of applications; pressures up to 450 bar, temperatures from -60oC to 450oC, toxic, lethal & hydrogen services, and viscous, high pour point services. Fabrication expertise has been developed for a broad range of metallurgy, including inconel 625, incoloy 825, duplex and the super-duplex grades.
Jord’s ACC technology stems from its successful joint venture with German ACC pioneer Balcke-Durr in the 1990s. Jord subsequently purchased the technology and has since designed and constructed ACCs under its own brand, from the hot desert environment of Saudi Arabia to the artic climate of northern Russia.
