Jord Oil and Gas Systems (“JOGS”), a Netherlands based joint venture established in 2012, focuses on the supply of offshore and onshore gas compression and associated systems.
Jord works closely with OEM centrifugal and reciprocating gas compressor companies to arrive at an optimum design that handles all required operating cases. A specialty is developing innovative design solutions, especially for FPSO and other offshore applications where plotspace is at a premium.
Wherever possible, gas compression balance of plant will be delivered in modular form, to minimise site installation time and cost.
All design work is carried out in-house. Simulation tools such as Aspen HYSYS, Aspen Dynamics and Aspen Flare Net are used, together with in-house software. Sizing of heat exchangers is undertaken using HTRI and Aspen EDR (HTFS). Dynamic studies are often performed, to assess the effect of process variations and analyse different failure scenarios. It is our know-how with these tools that ensure we deliver a truly robust design.
