Jord International (Jord) has appointed Greg Jones as CEO, commencing July 15.
Current CEO Angus Holden will move into the Executive Board Chair position and will remain involved in strategic oversight of the business.
Greg joins Jord after 17 years at InfraBuild (formerly OneSteel). He brings extensive international experience serving the industrial, manufacturing, resource and infrastructure sectors. He has successfully directed business growth and transformation strategies, as well as driven product innovations.
Greg is only the fourth CEO in Jord’s 52 years of service to industry, demonstrating a long history of steady leadership.
“Jord has never been in better shape. We have an immensely exciting future,” said Angus, “So it’s a great pleasure to welcome Greg to the team, to continue building our global footprint and capabilities.”
“We know the coming decades will see massive changes and investment in the energy industry. Greg is well placed to deepen Jord’s impact as we pioneer new technologies required for the energy transition and improve our existing technologies.”
“One of the things I’m most proud of at Jord is our entrepreneurial culture. I am confident Greg’s people-orientated leadership style is a good match to continue inspiring the team.”
Greg says he is excited by Jord’s ambition and new technologies in the pipeline.
“Jord’s story spans five decades. It’s a great example of an Australian-headquartered company delivering technology-driven solutions on a global scale,” said Greg.
“The industry is constantly changing and adapting. Jord has a nimble and innovative approach that has huge potential for continued growth.”
“I look forward to joining the team and contributing to the next phase in its evolution.”
Jord is a privately owned multinational company with more than 400 staff spanning 38 nationalities and 43 languages. Jord designs, constructs and services process plants for the resource and energy sectors.
Last year, Jord opened a new office in Denver to support its growing operations in The Americas. Initial focus is on rolling out a patented mining filtration solution called Viper™.
It is also about to break ground on a NovaCell™ demonstration plant at Tritton Copper Mine, partly funded by $5.68 million via the NSW Government Critical Minerals and High-Tech Metals Activation Fund – Stream 2.
Jord collaborates on research and development initiatives with the University of Newcastle and the ARC Centre of Excellence for Enabling Eco-Efficient Beneficiation of Minerals.
